We are looking for a highly technical and experienced professional to fill the position of Application Analyst within the Information Technology Department’s Application Services team. The team focuses on systems integration to support business processes and provide data between the many applications used by the University, and aims to provide seamless integration between these systems to optimize operational efficiency for University staff. In this role, you will be responsible for working in partnership with stakeholders and colleagues to develop and implement meaningful improvements for business functions. This involves analyzing and defining business requirements, supporting user testing, and re-engineering business processes.

The Application Analyst will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service to ensure recognition and responsiveness to internal and external customer needs. You will be able to enhance your existing skills by participating in cross-training between support teams and increase the breadth and depth of your abilities within the Application Services team.

The Applications function ensures that IT application services are provided to the various academic and operational functions of the University to enable the University to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.

About you

To be suitable for the role, you will possess the following:

  • Experience with PHP, JAVA, JavaScript, HTML, XML or other scripting languages, web development experience, experience with SQL queries.
  • Working knowledge of O365, Active Directory, Windows Server, knowledge of Windows domain and identity management (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in software incident management and problem management, including investigation, resolution and communication.
  • A strong customer service orientation with an emphasis on results and quality of service.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and high-level judgment and work independently or as part of a team to achieve results within set deadlines.
  • Work with business, operations and technology on incidents, changes, initiatives and bring them to logical conclusions while partnering with internal support/development teams and vendors
