If you want to download and unlock Fire Virus Digimon Guilmon type virus at the start of Digimon Survive, you have come to the right place.

Despite some delays, Bandai Namco launched this hybrid visual novel and tactical RPG for PC and consoles on July 29, 2022. Set in a mysterious world filled with monsters that players can befriend, the game will test your survivability. To make things a little easier, you can unlock Guilmon earlier!

This article explains how to get Guilmon quickly in Digimon Survive, unlocking it and downloading it to use in deadly battles.

How to Unlock Guilmon Early in Digimon Survive

If you purchase Digimon Survive within the first month of the game’s release, you will automatically get the Digital First Month Edition.

This edition is a limited-time affair, available for just one month after the game releases on July 29, 2022.

Those who purchase Digimon Survive during this first month get an additional trainable monster called Guilmon. The Digimon fanbase should be drooling over Guilmon as it is a fire virus type with powerful abilities and attacks.

The thing is, Guilmon is not available as soon as you launch the game. Instead, players will need to complete the gear tutorial at the end of the game’s prologue.

This should take about an hour or a little longer. After that, the last step in unlocking Guilmon at the start of Digimon Survive is to open the Main Menu and select “Receive Bonus”. After that, Guilmon (level 1) will be added to your team.

As mentioned in the previous section, Guilmon is a free monster that you can unlock if you purchase Digimon Survive Month One Digital Edition.

If you purchase a digital copy of Digimon Survive and download the game, the free Guilmon will automatically download.

Unfortunately for those purchasing a physical copy of Digimon Survive, you may be out of luck.

While some publications report that there could be a code in the physical editions, Bandai Namco confirmed in a tweet (as per the image above) that Guilmon is only available in the first month digital edition.
