Don’t Download Leaked First Build of Skate, Says Developer
The developer of EA’s upcoming Skate reboot has acknowledged the first version of the game leaked currently floating around the internet – and suggested you don’t download it yourself.
In a blog post mentioning the leak, developer Full Circle revealed that it was a September 2021 build of the game that was “never intended for external use” – rather than a test of leaked game or demo.
“While we understand that you’re eager to jump into the game, we encourage you to be careful when downloading files from unknown sources (and remind you of the potential consequences of violating EA’s Terms of Service ),” Full Circle wrote.
“The best way to get a chance to play is to sign up for the Skate Insider playtests here, as we continue to invite more and more players into the game throughout the year.”
Interest in the Skate reboot is high, and development details for the game have been leaked several times over the past month. These have included details on early maps and character customization, in-game footage, and footage of the build in progress mentioned above.
However, the videos posted on YouTube were quickly removed by EA.
There is currently no word on the launch of the new Skate game.
