Cloud-based instant messaging platform Telegram has launched several new features on its platform. New tools include custom notification sounds, custom mute durations, new auto-delete menu in profiles, web integration for BOTs, replies in forwarded messages, improved message translations on iOS, an improved picture-in-picture on Android, etc.

“With the latest update, users can turn any sound into a notification tone, whether it’s a short audio file or a voice message. They can also create custom alerts via any music or memes,” the company wrote in a blog post.

Sounds added in the list of notification sounds can be assigned to any chat. Tones currently support audio files and voice messages under 5 seconds up to 300KB.

“Telegram previously supported the feature of temporarily disabling chats for 8 hours or 2 days. With the latest update, users can now disable notifications for a specific duration, such as the duration of a midday nap or a extended vacation,” the company said.

With the new Auto Delete feature, users can now automatically delete any chat to make a conversation more private or less cluttered. The latest update allows users to enable flexible timer settings – like 2 days, 3 weeks, 4 months and more for automatic deletion of any chat.

In the latest update, Telegram has added a whole new dimension to its existing bots by giving bot developers the tools to create infinitely flexible interfaces with JavaScript.

Telegram bots can now completely replace any website. Telegram’s built-in translation feature for iOS devices has been extended to support higher quality translations from many other languages, such as Ukrainian.

“Today’s update adds creating your own notification tones, setting custom durations for muting chats or auto-deleting messages, and supercharged bots ready to outrun any website. , improved forwarding that preserves responses, and more,” the company said.
