iOS 16.1 Beta 3 and iPadOS 16.1 Beta 4 now available
Apple has just released Beta 3 of iOS 16.1 and Beta 4 of iPadOS 16.1 for developers and public beta testers.
iOS 16.1 Beta 3 and iPadOS 16.1 Beta 4 are now available – macOS Ventura Beta 9, tvOS 16.1 Beta 3 and watchOS 9.1 Beta 3 are also available
It’s highly likely that Apple will release iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16.1 updates in October alongside new iPads. Before that happens, however, we have to deal with betas, many, many of them. And today, the company released iOS 16.1 beta 3 and iPadOS 16.1 beta 4.
Just a quick reminder – iPadOS 16.1 will be the first release of iPadOS 16 for compatible iPad devices. Apple didn’t release iPadOS 16 alongside iOS 16. Apparently the company is still working on the update, including refining how Stage Manager works. Luckily, it looks like a lot of progress has already been made based on recent beta releases.
If you have downloaded and installed iOS 16.1 or iPadOS 16.1 on any of your devices, you can get the latest update wirelessly without much hassle. Just make sure the battery life is 50% or more, then go to Settings > General > Software Update. The update will appear here, and all you have to do is click Download and Install.
Besides the iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16.1 beta updates mentioned above, you can also download macOS Ventura beta 9 on your Mac. If you’ve been testing the operating system on your Mac for a while now, go to System Preferences > Software Update to download the ninth preview.
Apple has also released tvOS 16.1 beta 3 as well as watchOS 9.1 beta 3. Both of these updates are immediately available live.
