USDA APHIS | Updated APHIS BRS Permit Application and Training Available

The United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Biotechnology Regulatory Services (BRS) announces that the recently updated BRS Permit Application is available on APHIS eFile. The Enhanced Permit Application is a simple and easy way to apply for BRS import, interstate movement, and environmental release permits. To help candidates with updates, training sessions are available.

What do you want to know

  • Candidates can navigate and create a BRS Permit Web Application (APHIS 2000) faster.
  • Managing larger datasets is easier. Applicants can upload and delete attachments and submit larger applications for BRS review (XML uploads up to 25MB).
  • Permit applications have a new look without changing the required information. Simply create and submit applications as you do today.
  • Applicants can continue to access existing applications and permits as they do today.
